We manage a portfolio of over 350 charitable trusts distributing close to $20 million annually.

Protecting and honouring the legacy of generous benefactors that have appointed The Trust Company to oversee their charitable purpose in perpetuity is one of the most privileged roles we assume. This year, we are supporting The CorriLee Foundation through of one our largest charitable trusts, the Fred P Archer Charitable Trust. This trust was established by Fred Archer himself, a remarkable individual who appreciated the value of good education and actively supported the Australian and Papua New Guinean communities during his lifetime.

Fred served in WWI with the Australian Light Horse and in 1923 moved to New Guinea where he spent 54 years managing and owning plantations, building businesses and philanthropically supporting the people of PNG and the Solomon Islands.

After he retired, Fred devoted himself to philanthropic work and shortly before he died in 1977, he formed his company into a charitable trust to be managed in perpetuity with dividends distributed each year to charities in PNG and Australia.

Our support of the CorriLee Foundation through the Fred P Archer Charitable Trust is an example of our commitment to supporting programs that effect real change under the banner of our new Engaged Philanthropy strategy. This strategy focuses on the overall social impact of our charitable funds distributed through the formation of long term partnerships.
